Pak Sisters Create Service Organization

Two of our very own students, Victoria Pak (Freshman) and Elizabeth Pak (7th grade), have created a service organization called “MusicTogether.”

From their website

MusicTogether is an organization that promotes community service through music… Our goal is to spread music and connect virtually to anyone who might be feeling anxiety and pain that these times might bring. If we can help people feel happy and momentarily forget about troubles, why not do it now?

Check out the website.

Thank you Victoria and Elizabeth for sharing this exciting news with us!

California All-State Honors…

Students from across the State of California auditioned for the California All State Ensembles. Selected students will participate in various Masterclasses as well as Virtual Concerts. This year, LCHS had three students selected for these ensembles.

Victoria Pak was selected to participate in the All-State High School String Orchestra! She participates in Advanced Orchestra as a violinist.

Congratulations!

Elizabeth Pak was selected to participate in the All-State Junior High School Orchestra! She participates in the 7/8 Orchestra as a violinist.

Congratulations!

Kaylee Kim was selected to participate in the All-State High School Wind Ensemble! She participates in the HS Marching Band and Concert Band as a flutist.

Congratulations!

Boost-A-Thon: La Canada’s Got Talent

Here’s a chance for your kids to do something fun with their friends, get their 15-60 seconds of fame, and do it for a great cause. Please help us by asking your kids to create a brief video clip for Boost-A-Thon.

Boost-A-Thon: La Canada’s Got Talent is a virtual event premiering on YouTube in December. The two hour show will feature LCHS 9-12 and 7/8 students submitting student-created YouTube type videos, as well as performances in music, choral, theatre, LCTV, comedy videos, and more.

We’re asking all students to submit fun content over the next few weeks and submit their videos to LCHSBoostathon@gmail.com.

Please go to the Boosters website for more information.

Students, please make short videos (15 seconds to 1 minute in length) with your iPhone or home video camera and send us the digital files as MP4 or QuickTime Movie formats. Submissions are due by Monday, November 2nd!

Instrumental Music Note: Mr. Stone, Ms. Munday, and Mr. Myers will be working with Boosters to make sure our groups are included in Boost-A-Thon.
