1) Please pay for Instrument rentals & instrument baggage costs

Participants are asked to help cover the costs of instrument rentals in New York and the costs of getting instruments to New York. Participants are asked to contribute $75 towards these costs. Please make check payable to LCHS MPA and place the check-in the black box in the band room. MPA will be issuing payment to the rental company and the airlines.

UPDATE

1/14/2022

New York City has told Carnegie Hall that they can not have two audiences within the same day.  Our original date to play in Carnegie Hall had us playing in the morning, with another concert happening that evening.  So the festival has had to cancel our original date and has given us an alternative date that will work (pending district approval).  So the new trip dates, pending approval, will be March 20-24.  I don’t anticipate any issues with obtaining approval.  I know this causes a lot of disruption to schedules and plans, but I appreciate your patience in this new date.

Also, everyone on the trip must be fully vaccinated and boosted for the trip.  Just a reminder to take care of this as soon as possible. I’ll keep you all posted as we clarify and confirm details for the trip.

The New York Trip Has Been Cancelled

11/9/2020

This week we found out the Carnegie Hall has announced that they will be closed through April. With that news and the still present uncertainty with the COVID pandemic, we are cancelling the NY Trip for this year.

Anyone on the trip list at this time, will receive a $200 voucher for a future trip (transferable if needed) and then the remaining balance will come back as a refund. For example, if you have $2000 paid towards the trip, you would receive a $200 voucher and then get back $1800. We are already planning our 2022 trip to Ireland, so you can use those vouchers for that trip.

Thank you all for your patience in this matter.

3/11/2020

As many of you already know, both the NYC trip and the Dayton trip were cancelled today. We are very sorry as our students have worked very, very hard for both of these trips and were really looking forward to performing and competing.

We know you have many questions regarding the trip payments and we are working on solutions for both trips. We will provide an update in a few days once we have more information.

Thank you for your patience and continued support of the LCHS Instrumental Music Program.
