Boost-A-Thon: La Canada’s Got Talent
Here’s a chance for your kids to do something fun with their friends, get their 15-60 seconds of fame, and do it for a great cause. Please help us by asking your kids to create a brief video clip for Boost-A-Thon.
Boost-A-Thon: La Canada’s Got Talent is a virtual event premiering on YouTube in December. The two hour show will feature LCHS 9-12 and 7/8 students submitting student-created YouTube type videos, as well as performances in music, choral, theatre, LCTV, comedy videos, and more.
We’re asking all students to submit fun content over the next few weeks and submit their videos to LCHSBoostathon@gmail.com.

Students, please make short videos (15 seconds to 1 minute in length) with your iPhone or home video camera and send us the digital files as MP4 or QuickTime Movie formats. Submissions are due by Monday, November 2nd!
Instrumental Music Note: Mr. Stone, Ms. Munday, and Mr. Myers will be working with Boosters to make sure our groups are included in Boost-A-Thon.

If you haven’t yet designated “La Canada HS Music Parents” as your charity on Amazon Smiles, now is the time. The MPA has received $838.22 as of August 2020. It’s easy and doesn’t cost you anything – just go through the Amazon Smile website.

The online registration forms are now available for 9-12 Orchestra, 9-12 Band/Guard, 7/8 Orchestra, and 7/8 Band.
Just click on the appropriate link below, complete the form and if possible, donate to the program.
The information collected is used for communications as well as volunteer sign-ups and all donations are appreciated to make the Instrumental Music Program possible.

Special note to all high school families… There are two donation opportunities this year. The first one is the program contribution to help maintain the Instrumental Music Program as we currently know it. The second one is a student donation which is a straight donation to the program. Please remember that this year there will be no transportation costs or uniform costs. (Concert wear will be purchased separately on an as-needed basis.)
Your donations are the needed financial support to make our program work. The Instrumental Music program receives minimal district funding and we rely heavily on your generous hearts and keen investment in your child’s musical experience. Thank you!
