Ms. Munday’s News & Notes…

Last Friday, LCHS hosted the Annual Instrumental SCSBOA Music Festival. It was a wonderful day filled with music from our groups and many orchestras and bands in the area. Mr. Stone did a fantastic job of organizing the whole shebang! The student volunteers looked beautiful and were super helpful to the groups and judges. The parent volunteers manned the front desk and snack table and did an amazing job. Thank you to everyone who participated – playing and/or volunteering. These events have a lot of moving parts and it takes a dedicated group to pull it off. Many, many thanks!

I am looking forward to our Ireland trip beginning this Wednesday! While I am gone, Advanced Orchestra will continue with a substitute teacher, Mr. Boyce. He will begin working on the orchestral music for the Concerto Concert on May 2nd. I will return on Thursday, March 22nd.

Mr. Stone’s Thought of the Week…

What an amazing week of stellar performances we had last week. All groups did such a fantastic job and all the hard work paid off.

This week doesn’t slow down either. Off to Ireland on Wednesday. Follow the travel blog and see all the highlights of the trip. Send good travel thoughts for us the whole time we are away!

Thank you all and have a great week!
