Over the weekend, the SCSBOA All Southern California High School Honor groups streamed their performances. There are three freshman Orchestra members, Rachel C., Victoria P. violins; and Lucy K., cello, who participated in the Symphonic Orchestra performance of the Enigma Variations by Edward Elgar. This practice test is for ALL students. Students do not need to be music program or LCHS students, so invite your friends! (All students need to say they are registering for the “LCHS MPA Fundraiser”).
At $20, this is a GREAT deal for every student from Freshmen and Sophomores who want exposure to the tests, to Juniors and Seniors to take multiple times to prep for the actual tests, and to decide whether they test better on SAT or ACT.

Location: Live online via Zoom. Registered students will receive an email two days before the test, including a test to download, answer sheets to print, and login instructions.
After registering, please email Jean Stroud with registered test taker’s name, and with the referring instrumental student. Please do this step so the instrumental music student can get credit for your registration.

It was great being back into a new normal! A lot to adjust to, but it was great to actually hear music as a group again, and see some faces I haven’t seen in person for almost a year! Looking forward to playing more music, building skills, and having fun over the next few weeks! Have a great week!
It was like old times, almost, to be back at school last week and see colleagues and students! Hearing the first notes of music being played together was wonderful! As the next weeks go by, I’m sure we will get into a meaningful daily rhythm for everyone. Have a great week!
