NY Trip Refunds

Refunds from the New York trip should be coming within the next two weeks. Refunds will come back to the credit card used to pay for the trip. If you used another method, then that will be mailed to you. The $200 voucher will also be mailed to each participant to be able to be used on a future Encore trip (Ireland 2022 is in the works).

2nd Semester Budget Update

The 2020-21 school year has been unique, to say the least. But teachers and students are adapting as best as they can and music is being created in new, different, and creative ways.

As we begin 2nd semester, we are usually planning for the Dinner Show – our biggest fundraiser of the year – another event that is not possible this year.

We are hard at work budgeting and continuing our existing fundraisers to support our winter/spring programs.

Please remember to eat at Doña Maria’s on Sundays (they have been a great partner), inform students you know of the SAT/ACT prep tests, and promote the Booster Raffle! The students have contributed with sweatshirts, Go Fund Me, and bake sales so far this year! Even a one-time donation to the program is great!

Thank you for your continued financial support of our program! The Instrumental Music Program receives minimal district funding and we rely heavily on your generous hearts and keen investment in your child’s musical experience.

7-12 Instrumental Yearbook

New for the 2020-21 school year…

Deb Parker is putting together a yearbook of the students from when they started in 7th grade until now. It will be 104 pages and color with a hardback cover. It will be reasonably priced (think ~$35 but we will let you know as soon as we firm up the budget) and we will offer senior pages to our senior families for a very reasonable cost (think ~$10-$15 a page).

It will include pictures from Disneyland, Ireland, Retreats, Concerts, Competitions, Parades, Football Games, 7/8 Night and more.

Please start gathering your digital images from the Fall of 2015 to now for uploading to Google Drive. A link with folders will be coming your way and probably some nagging emails from Deb.

We are looking for pictures of kids in groups of two or more, preferably with all faces visible!

If you are interested in helping Deb, email her and put, “Yearbook” in the Subject. Just because this past year has been bad, it doesn’t mean our memories have to be. Let’s celebrate all the good we have experienced over the years with this fabulous yearbook. More info to come…

NY Trip Cancelled

Carnegie Hall has announced that they will be closed through April. With that news and the still present uncertainty with the COVID pandemic, we are cancelling the NY Trip for this year.

Anyone on the trip list at this time, will receive a $200 voucher for a future trip (transferable if needed) and then the remaining balance will come back as a refund. For example, if you have $2000 paid towards the trip, you would receive a $200 voucher and then get back $1800. We are already planning our 2022 trip to Ireland, so you can use those vouchers for that trip.

Thank you all for your patience in this matter.
